Please find below instructions and useful tips for using the Polycom HDX video conferencing systems. HDX systems can be found in the following rooms and details of customer devices can be found in the Video Devices List on Sharepoint:

To help you make the most of the VVX 1500 video phones, please find below instructions and useful tips for making and managing video conference calls. Video phones can be found in the following meeting rooms:

Ensure the TV is switched on and pick up the remote to wake the system.
Press the Home button
Select Favourites from the menu on screen to browse the contacts and make a call.
Use the arrow keys to highlight, then the centre button to select.

To place a call to another video device, use the Speed Dial soft keys on the right-hand side of the screen.
Or select Directory followed by Contact Directory on the next screen. |

To adjust your camera while in a call, press Near on the remote, or, to adjust the far site's camera while in a call,
press Far on the remote.
You then use the arrow buttons to move the camera up, down, left or right and the
Zoom button to zoom in and out.
Note: not all video conferencing systems allow the far site to adjust the camera

The phone does not automatically start video.
Once in a call with another video device, tap the on-screen Video soft key. then tap Start Video.
Tapping anywhere on the video picture will switch the image to Full screen, tapping it a second time will switch it back to the default view.
Ensure that the camera shutter is open.You can adjust the picture using the tilt wheel on the back of the VVX screen. |

To adjust the volume, press the Volume button.
Changing the volume affects only the sound you hear at your site.
To mute the microphone when you do not want the far site to hear you, press the Mute button. Press it again to unmute.

On the remote, press the
Hang Up button. |

If you want to stop sending video, but continue with audio, tap the Video soft key, then select Stop Video from the next menu that appears.
Alternatively you can Hang Up to end the call. |

Video Conferencing Directories
Customers each have a video conferencing directory map – you will find these in the dashboards section of the Customer Portal and printable versions that can be emailed to the customer can be found in the Product Resource Centre on Sharepoint. |
